How To Stay Committed To Your Weight Loss Plan

It is not that most people don’t know what to do to lose weight, the problem is that most people find it very hard to stay committed to their weight loss plan. From personal experience, I know this is very difficult to do. I tend to stay committed to my plan on Monday-Fridays but as soon as the weekend hits, I would throw out my healthy habits and void everything that I worked hard for during the week.

The good news for you however is that I have learned from my mistakes so you don’t have to make them. Today I am going to share some of what I learned that had the greatest impact on me sticking to my weight loss plan and achieving my goal.   1. Preparation Is Key

Every heard that if you fail to prepare then you prepare to fail? This is so true when it comes to losing weight effectively. You have to ensure that you get rid of as much temptations as possible. Starting with your kitchen. Check you fridge and cupboards and throw out anything that wont contribute to your success.

You also need to prepare your meals ahead of time. The fact of the matter is that you will get hungry and feel for something outside of what your diet allows. However, if you have prepared your meals ahead of time and ditched the junk from your fridge, they only thing you’ll have is your healthy meals. Remember, your diet will be the most important aspect of your weight loss journey so if you get this right, everything else will fall into place.

2. Eat A Little Less On Thursdays And Fridays

If you are like me, you probably love to indulge in some treats over the weekend. Here’s the kicker though, most of these ‘treats tend to be very calorie dense. This means a small amount will have a lot of calories causing you to mess up all the work of creating a deficit during the week.

The best way I find to combat this is to purposely eat fewer calories on Thursdays and Fridays so that when I do indulge over the weekend, it doesn’t have to be a major set back.

3. Do A Weekly Detox To Get Rid Of Bloat

After the weekend you may feel a little bloated depending on how you went down. However, I find that using a natural herbal tea such as flat tummy tea helps to combat that. This doesn’t directly help with burning fat but it boost your energy levels and help you to feel great which essentially keep you committed to your weight loss goal.
